No, before you get too excited, this is not a list of the places to get free food. This is about how I am living FREE-- free from dairy, eggs, grains, wheat, yeast, gluten, . . . you get the picture. A couple weeks ago, I got my results back from my food sensitivities tests. After being sick for so long, I finally had answers.
Only a few days after removing my sensitivities, I could feel my remaining symptoms go away, bloating go away, brain fog go away, and overall, a weight lifted off my shoulders. I HAVE ANSWERS!
I could shout that from the top of my lungs. Most would take the lemons and cry, this babe takes the lemons and makes lemon poppy seed bread and lemonade. It's definitely challenging, but I am up for the challenge. Just like everything else in life, it's about a perspective change. I definitely got an earful from friends and family. They think this is a trend or that it's not sustainable of a lifestyle. Most people who are afraid of change will always see the glass half empty- not half full.
I, on the other hand, opt to dwell on the fact there is even water left! LOL. Instead of saying, "I don't get to have ____." I say, "In order to be healthy and my body to work better, I will avoid _______."
It's a perspective that I had to choose. Yes, you get to choose your attitude. You can choose to be happy and embrace it OR you can choose to sulk. Here's a hint: Sulking gets you no where. The more negative your attitude, the more nothing changes.
Moving forward, the recipes on Cardio Couture will be catered to my sensitivities. If you are one of the many who have DM'd me saying you also have these allergies, then make them, share them, and let me know what you think! If you are one of my babes who doesn't have these sensitivities, I challenge you to do at least 1 meal a week more plant-based, it's good for you! I promise!
